Im leaving for the beautiful lake right now!! But the camera isnt working because the lighthouse is being redone and wont be back until its finished.

Suggestion...consider relocated your New Bern Web Cam so it shows Union Point. Would be a better view of what is happening with the river(s), especially during a storm.

Do you have any idea when the webcam at the ECU Field Station at Lake Mattamuskeet will be operating again? I've been checking back for some time with the same disappointing results. Thank you.

WEBMASTER COMMENT: The field station is being rebuilt so there's no power to our webcam. We are exploring other options.

Do you mean the construction before the refuge? The refuge is cleaning out the drainage canals. Fishing is permitted and you can catch bass, white perch and crabs.

Can anyone tell us what all the construction activity is to the right of the bridge and on the roads leading north from what appears to be a parking lot in the foreground? Just routine maintainence?? Is fishing permitted in this canal from the bank?? What might one expect to catch??

my wife and i really enjoy going to the lake crabbing during the summer,we live in ayden nc it is 97 miles from home but we go several times each summer . i would like to see the lodge restored.
