on Feb 10, 2009 at 09:47 AM I enjoy seeing the traffic cam. I've been offered a job in that area and it's nice to see that I won't have to deal with the same kind of traffic like in this area! Posted by: R-Truth on Feb 4, 2009 at 07:09 PM This webcam is such a waste of money. Posted by: jerry c Location: grantsboro n.c
on Jan 26, 2009 at 11:49 PM enjoy your forecast on the n and sport and the cams and get to see other places thank you for being there Posted by: J Location: gville
on Jan 21, 2009 at 12:55 PM it IS arlington Blvd people and its not KMart parking lot all the time. This web came apparently changes often. its not the same image all the time because right now, its pointed across Arlington. RELAX Posted by: Arlington Location: G-Vegas
on Jan 21, 2009 at 09:45 AM The main roads have been taken care of and you can see the road through the snow BUT -- still drive with caution. Posted by: Ashley Location: Greenville
on Jan 21, 2009 at 09:16 AM This is what the roads look like and ECU is still having classes? Posted by: john Location: greenville
on Jan 21, 2009 at 08:43 AM i dont think the city of greenville is doing a very good job at keeping the roads clear Posted by: ja'quana Location: greenville
on Jan 20, 2009 at 03:25 PM i think there should be more traffic cams put up,for saftey reasons. Posted by: Interested Observer Location: Ohio
on Jan 20, 2009 at 01:24 PM I can't see a thing! Is it really white-out conditions down there? Posted by: Tom Location: Grifton
on Jan 20, 2009 at 08:17 AM The parking lot certainly looks safe enough to drive on. How about the roads to it? Posted by: Dennis on Jan 20, 2009 at 07:46 AM This is not Arlington Blvd. It is a parking lot. Posted by: Chet Location: The Berkshires, MA
on Jan 15, 2009 at 03:40 PM I hope that my support for the Arlington Blvd webcam didn't jinx it. Maybe one of the many good techmeisters at WITN can whisper sweet nothings to the cam and/or shake the pole! A lot of us miss it! Posted by: betty Location: cortland
on Jan 13, 2009 at 09:55 AM What in the world is wrong with Greenville's web cam? It's been messed up for days now. Lets get it fixed. Posted by: Chet Location: The Berkshires, MA
on Jan 7, 2009 at 12:37 PM Ooops...back again...I forgot to mention that traffic cams provide, at a glance, so much useful info. MOST of us undetstand that our minds process a picture, with all of it's nuances, faster than the written word! I depend on these cams for providing me a very useful tool for any travel scheduling. It's a shame that some cannot appreciate their value. I rely on them on so many levels.
Great job WITN...maybe a couple more for 264, 43, and/or other pressure points? Posted by: Chet Location: The Berkshires, MA
on Jan 5, 2009 at 10:19 AM I'm sitting here with over 3' of snow on the ground. As for small towns...Being from Boston, and having lived in NYC and D.C G'ville is a great place. So much so that I'm moving there in 56 days! Posted by: Sam Location: Williamston
on Dec 4, 2008 at 02:41 PM When is Arlington and Greenville Boulevards goin to ever get a six lane instead of a four lane? If that was donw already, that intersection would be a lot easier to get through. Posted by: SOM Employee Location: Gvlle
on Nov 28, 2008 at 06:05 PM At my place of employment (where there are few windows) we will pull up the web cams to see how the rain,smoke,snow,etc... is moving or how the "other" areas of our town such as the stadium or Arlington Blvd are looking for people who have to travel in those directions. I think they are awesome and applaud WITN for the purchase and upkeep of the systems! Posted by: tony Location: washington
on Nov 6, 2008 at 04:48 PM the Greenville web traffic cam needs repositining. It looks dark like night way before dark. Posted by: Dave Location: Greenville
on Sep 29, 2008 at 10:32 AM Every time I look at this traffic cam I think to myself, "Dave, stop being a loser and get back to work." Posted by: Ms. Location: Greenville
on Sep 19, 2008 at 07:43 PM Just a suggestion.........Greenville should invest in the following traffic camera.....
Cohu's Series 3900:
The Latest Video Cameras with High-speed Positioning --- Model 3920 i-dome or Model with zoom in dome Posted by: Chris Location: Greenville
on Aug 7, 2008 at 07:38 PM I work 3 weeks out of every month in Chrlotte, I get a little home sick from time to time, and it is nice to bring up the cam just to see one small part of my home that I hold so close to my heart. Thank you WITN for paying for and maintaining this cam. FYI If they allowed every one to access their live feed it would eat up the broadband they pay for, and the Server/Router/Switch that I am sure was not cheap either. Posted by: Myrna Location: Lewark
on Jun 27, 2008 at 06:44 AM It just points toward kmart parking lot? Posted by: Local &Proud of Small Towns on Jun 13, 2008 at 05:03 PM To Flash - if you don't like "small towns" the same raod that brought you here - can take you back to your "larger more prosperous towns" - Just a THOUGHT for YA! YAY. Or maybe this statement just shows my small town mentality!! I don't care - Posted by: Michael Location: Greenville
on Jun 13, 2008 at 01:49 AM You ever notice those that don't pay for stuff crank the loudest? I'm from Atlanta, Ga and we have these all over the place and I mean all over. Mostly they are for traffic monitoring. The local tv stations have cams up in the antenna towers. Those are some interesting shots. But the cams on the roads when used by a skilled operator can keep your happy butt from sitting for hours in heavy traffic or behind an accident. And it doesn't matter if they are tax or privately funded, it's a bloody good investment. Posted by: Flash Location: Greenville
on Jun 11, 2008 at 07:14 PM I agree with Dave. But then again, that is just your small town mentality. WOW looky at the pretty cars going down the road! YAY!! Posted by: Dave Location: Greenville
on Jun 11, 2008 at 06:50 PM Why is this camera so useful? Big deal, there are cars going down the road. Posted by: Dave Location: Greenville
on Jun 11, 2008 at 06:13 PM Why would anybody want to look in at this traffic camera? It's good to see that good tax money is being wasted on such a thing!!
Editor's Note: No tax money has been wasted on this traffic camera. It's bought and paid for by WITN and we find it quite useful.

on Feb 27, 2008 at 07:52 PM I had an accident on Saturday approx. 3pm. It happened in front of Logans Roadhouse. The circumstances were suspicious and I am curious to know a) if your traffic cam picks up that area and b) if it is recorded and kept. Please let me know ASAP because I really need this information to fight my case in court. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide. Editors comment: The camera does not record at that location Posted by: Jackie Location: Ahoskie, North Carolina
on Jan 30, 2008 at 02:37 PM Yeah, a little motion would make this live cam thing a bit more interesting. Posted by: Andrew J. Salak Location: Williston NC
on Jan 14, 2008 at 12:45 PM How come when the web cams are showen on TV they are live. When I look at them on my computer there a still picture?
Editor's comment: The camera video that goes to our servers is grabbed periodically and sent over the Internet whereas the "live" connection for these cameras is not always available.
