The weather pattern across the eastern United States has taken a decided turn to colder. The month of November averaged about 2 degrees below normal but we had many afternoons in the 60s. The first 9 days of December have averaged about 11 degrees below normal. After a brief warm-up this weekend, it appears we'll see a strong surge of Arctic air move into the area Sunday night and Monday. In fact, highs early next week will struggle to get above freezing during the afternoons. After a wet weekend it looks like dry conditions will return early next week as the cold air arrives.
