Weather Pattern Starting To Change

The weather pattern will be shifting from warm to cooler over the next week to 10 days.

It looks like the first real chill of winter will be reaching eastern North Carolina in a week to 10 days.  We will cool down a bit at the the end of this week.  Highs over the weekend will generally be in the middle 60s to lower 70s under sunny skies.  A stronger cold front will arrive around the middle of next week, bringing the first significant chill of winter and possibly frost.  More rain will likely precede the front late Tuesday into Wednesday.  It now appears that winter could get off to a fast start during the first week of November.  How long will it last and what kind of winter can we expect?  I'll be talking more about that over the next two weeks.
