Going from winter into spring can be a bumpy ride across eastern North Carolina. Temperatures can vary 20 to 30 degrees or more from day to day and that can make it difficult for us to adapt. For example, the high at the WITN Weather Statiion was 77 Monday and only 45 Tuesday afternoon. The difference was 32 degrees in one day but when you combine wind chill, it actually made it feel about 40 degrees colder. More significant changes in those temperatures can be expected for the next few weeks until spring becomes firmly established. In fact, by Friday some areas could see highs in the lower 70s.
