The Quiet Weather Pattern To Continue Until Thanksgiving

The weather pattern will remain tranquil for the next two weeks across eastern North Carolina.

Eastern North Carolina will have an extended period of near to above normal temperatures from this weekend until Thanksgiving.  We'll see a series of cold fronts but most of the moisture and cold air will stay well to our north.  The first front will arrive late Thursday night and could bring near freezing temperatures by Saturday morning.  Temperatures will rebound into the lower to middle 70s early next week after weekend highs in the 60s.  Another cold front will arrive the middle of next week and it may produce a few showers and somewhat colder air in its wake.  The real cold air will remain locked up in Alaska and western Canada for the next two weeks but there are hints we may see that air tracking southeast by the end of the month into December.  I'll have an update on our winter forecast before Thanksgiving.  Stay tuned!
