Eastern North Carolina has seen some extremely hot weather this summer. Temperatures have been running 3° to 4° above normal since late May and that has made it uncomfortable for many of us. Heat indices have continued to run above 100° almost every day since June. A weak cool front will push through our area on Wednesday bringing lower relative humidity and slightly cooler temperatures for the middle and latter portion of the week. Basically, temperatures will just simply return to normal. What is normal? Well, this time of year we typically see highs in the upper 80s with lows near 70°. Those temperatures would almost feel cool right now.
