Drier air will finally arrive across our area as we head into the weekend. A few light showers may occur near the beaches on Friday afternoon or evening but clearing skies should follow by early Saturday. Skies will become mostly sunny by Saturday afternoon and mostly clear skies should stay with us into the first of next week. Temperatures will be cool on Friday as afternoon highs top out in the upper 60s to lower 70s. A slow warming trend will begin Saturday and continue into early next week.
The first hint of a major warm-up is in the forecast for the latter portion of next week. We could see our first widespread 90 degree temperatures across inland communities by the end of the week. Also, any shower or storm activity over the next week should be brief and not cause additional flooding issues. The farmers, gardeners and landscapers will finally be able to get some needed work accomplished.
