Warm afternoons and cool nights can be expected over the weekend across eastern North Carolina.  High pressure over Tennessee will settle slowly eastward into our area over the next few days.  Clear skies and dry air will allow overnight lows to dip into the lower to middle 50s.  Sunny skies during the day will take temperatures into the lower 80s over the weekend and possibly middle 80s early next week.  The dry conditions are a nice change from the very soggy weather we experienced much of last week.  The next chance for rain in our area is at least 4 to 5 days away.  Enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures this weekend!
