Seasonable temperatures are expected through the weekend across our area. High pressure will keep sunny skies on Wednesday as highs reach the upper 50s to lower 60s. A developing area of low pressure will spread clouds and rain across the region by late Thursday into Friday morning. Many locations should receive a half-inch to inch before the low pressure departs to the northeast on Friday afternoon. The weekend looks basically sunny with highs in the 50s and lows near freezing.
The weather pattern will see significant changes next week. A nice warm-up early in the week will take highs back into the 60s. A threat of more showers will occur with the warmer air but an approaching strong cold front should bring an abrupt end to the warm spell by the middle of next week. Much colder air will follow the front at the end of next week.
