Temperatures will return to more seasonable levels over the weekend. We should see temperatures rebound into the lower to middle 60s by Saturday. We should continue to see highs in the 60s as we head into early next week.
Chilly conditions have continued across eastern Carolina over the past few days. Waves of low pressure have brought several periods of light rain and ice since Monday afternoon. A developing area of low pressure will bring additional rainfall to our area late Thursday into Friday with many locations receiving over an inch. The storm will move away from the region by Saturday allowing sunshine and milder temperatures to replace the late week chill.
The official start of spring occurs on Thursday, March 20. I think most folks will be ready for it this year.
