A area of low pressure and associated cold front will bring clouds and rain to eastern Carolina late Monday night into Tuesday. Temperatures will be mild at the beginning of the week with highs in the lower 60s. Temperatures will drop into the middle to upper 50s Wednesday under partly sunny skies. Another cold front will sweep through the area Wednesday night bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air for the late week. We may see a sprinkle or flurry Wednesday night but no significant precipitation is likely at the end of the week. Temperatures will drop into the 40s for Thursday afternoon and will remain chilly through the weekend despite lots of sunshine. Chilly weather conditions are expected to linger into next week as well.
