Quiet Weather Pattern To Continue

A typical weather pattern for fall will continue across eastern North Carolina for the next week to 10 days.

A quiet weather pattern is settling into eastern North Carolina as we head deeper into the fall season.  It has been sunny and pleasant so far this month after flooding occurred at the end of September.  Temperatures have been averaging a few degrees above normal for the past week but some changes are on the way.  A cool front will push off the coast Thursday night with a few showers and a possible thunderstorm preceding it.  Drier and somewhat cooler air will arrive just in time for the weekend.  We should see sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees.  There will be a decided chill at night with lows dipping into the 40s.  The nice weather should linger into early next week.
