The Climate Prediction Center has given their forecast for the next three months.  It looks like eastern North Carolina should expected near normal conditions.  The forecast would suggest a rainfall average of 3 to 4 inches per month.  Average temperatures will gradually rise from the middle to upper 60s in early April to the middle and upper 80s by latter portion of June.  An early look at the summer forecast suggests more of the same with near normal rainfall and temperatures.  It would be a nice growing season across our area if the forecast verifies.
