Milder Conditions For The Next Two Weeks

The changing weather pattern should give eastern North Carolina warmer conditions over the next two weeks.

Eastern North Carolina has seen some chilly weather conditions over the past week.  In fact, most inland communities have seen overnight lows at freezing or slightly below at least once.  Frost has been prevalent of several nights, effectively ending the growing season for much of the area.  Coastal communities have stayed a bit warmer and have not seen much if any frost at this point.  There will be some patchy frost overnight but warmer weather is on the way as we move through the first half of November.  There will be some brief cooling on Friday but a strong warming trend will get underway by the end of the weekend into much of next week.  We should see highs hit the lower to middle 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday.  After Friday it looks like we'll see an extended stretch of dry conditions as well.  All good things may come to an end by Thanksgiving as models hint at colder weather during the last week of the month.  I'll give an update on what we can expect for the winter around the middle of November.
