A cold front will push off the North Carolina coast early Friday followed by clearing skies and mild temperatures. The front caused some showers and thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon and more showers could accompany the front as it cross eastern North Carolina early Friday. Mild air will follow the front on Friday as highs reach the upper 70s. We should continue to see middle 70s each afternoon through the weekend. The air will be dry and very comfortable compared to the past several days of high relative humidity. The weather should remain quiet into early next week but a strong cold front will bring a change to much cooler conditions by Thursday and Friday. That front may also be preceded by some showers and thunderstorms. In the meantime let's enjoy a beautiful weekend.
