Eastern Carolina will see few changes in the weather pattern during the week. An area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast will keep a moist northeasterly flow of air across the region through Tuesday. The system should move to the northeast by Wednesday allowing more sunshine. Temperatures will rebound during the week with highs in the middle to upper 70s both Wednesday and Thursday. A weak front may bring an isolated shower by Thursday but little rain is expected through the week. The mild temperatures will continue through the upcoming weekend although a strong cold front will be noticeably cooler air by Sunday or early next week.
The tropics remain amazingly quiet as we head into the latter portion of the tropical season. No significant development is expected for the next several days.
