Halloween Day looks beautiful across eastern North Carolina. A large ridge of high pressure will build across our area by Saturday and remain entrenched over the region through Monday. The high pressure will give us sunny skies each afternoon Friday into the first of the week. Temperatures will start chilly on Friday then gradually warm through the weekend. In fact, we could see some patchy light frost Friday night as winds diminish and temperatures fall into the upper 30s in most inland locations. We should see highs reach the lower 70s on Halloween afternoon. The trick or treaters should have beautiful evenings on both Saturday and Sunday. Evening temperatures Saturday will drop into the lower to middle 50s while Sunday evening will see slightly warmer readings in the lower 60s.
