A Stretch Of Dry Weather On The Way

A long stretch of dry weather is on the way to eastern North Carolina.

Dry weather conditions are returning to eastern North Carolina after a brief bout of rainfall on Thursday across the area.  Most locations received much less than a half-inch although Elizabeth City did get almost two inches during the day.  The rain will move out of the area Thursday night followed by clearing skies and dry weather.  Dry conditions should last for much of the next week.  Temperatures will be pleasant with highs generally in the upper 60s to lower 70s and lows in the 40s.  Any tropical systems should stay well to our south and east for the next week.
