The mild winter will abruptly end on Tuesday as much colder air pours into the area. Temperatures will struggle to reach the middle to upper 30s despite mostly sunny skies. Gusty winds will make it feel like the 20s much of the day. Temperatures will fall into the teens across some inland communities Tuesday night. It will remain dry much of the week although some chilly rain will likely develop by late Friday ahead of another cold front that will drop temperatures for the weekend. Highs may not get above 40° both Saturday and Sunday. We will see a few days of warming next week but indications point to another strong cooling trend as we enter February. It looks like winter has finally arrived although some of you are probably still waiting for snowflakes. I expect we may see a chance or two of snow as we go through next month.
