Chilly weather will continue across eastern Carolina for the remainder of the week. An area of low pressure moving up along the the North Carolina coast will bring rain into Tuesday afternoon. A strong area of high pressure will move southeast and bring drier and colder air to the area for midweek. There should be lots of sunshine Wednesday through Friday with highs in the middle to upper 40s with lows in the 20s. Another storm system is likely to bring rain to our area by Saturday. Temperatures will return to seasonable levels by next week as highs return to the 50s.
