Bone-chilling cold will be replaced with much warmer temperatures as we head into the weekend. Cold Arctic air has been in place across our region since the weekend with temperatures falling as low as the upper teens early Wednesday morning. Highs have not gotten out of the 30s since Sunday. The high pressure responsible for the chilly weather will move offshore late Thursday. Winds will return to the southwest and we'll see highs around 50 degrees Friday and 50s on Saturday. A cold front will arrive late Sunday bringing showers with it. We may even hit the 60s in some communties ahead of the front Sunday. Much colder air will arrive by Sunday night and Monday bringing another big chill to us early next week.
