It will be another hot and humid weekend across eastern North Carolina. Moist and unstable air will increase over the area by Saturday afternoon giving most sections a 30% to 40% risk of thunderstorms. The afternoon storms both Saturday and Sunday will temper the high heat in those areas that receive the rain. The beaches should be fairly nice. Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 80s on the immediate coast. The wind will be breezy out of the southwest at 15 to 20 mph both days. Ocean temperatures are in the lower to middle 70s along the Outer Banks and around 80 degrees on the Crystal Coast. There will be a low to moderate risk of dangerous rip currents through the weekend.
