If you think it's warm now...just wait. Some of the hottest weather of the summer season will have a firm grip on the east for the next several days. Summer officially arrives Monday morning at 7:23 am and it will be feeling like it. An area of high pressure will be anchored off the east coast leading to a stretch of very hot weather. Expect temperatures consistently in the mid 90s with lows in the sultry 70s. This will be the pattern for the next several days. The prospects for rain don't look so good with the upcoming heat wave, with about a 20% chance for an isolated thunderstorm. Obviously follow common sense safety tips in the heat, especially drinking a lot of water, staying cool by wearing light colored clothing, and taking frequent breaks if you're outside for an extended period of time.
