A cold front pushed south and west of eastern North Carolina early Friday, pushing most of the shower and thunderstorm activity into the western part of the state. The showers will slowly move eastward on Saturday bringing a few showers and thunderstorms to the area. Coverage on Saturday will be around 40% to 50%. The showers will move away by Sunday followed by partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s. Memorial Day looks nice as high pressure controls our weather pattern. We should see highs hit 90° inland and lower 80s on the beaches. Seasonably warm temperatures will continue for most of next week.
