Most of the month of April has been very quiet and warm. Temperatures have been well above normal with less than normal rainfall. It now appears that a wetter weather pattern will be developing in our area over the next week. A weak area of low pressure crossed the area today bringing a few showers to most locations. After a couple of sunny days, we should see more showers arrive over the weekend. The showers will be scattered with no more than 30% to 40% of the area getting rain each day on the weekend. Temperatures will be warm as highs will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s. The unsettled weather pattern should extend into early next week. Maybe those April showers will bring plenty of May flowers.
