It has been nice to see some spring weather after a long and cold winter. Temperatures during the winter averaged about 4 degrees below normal. In addition, we had cloudy skies on many days with bouts of rain, snow and ice. Those cold conditions are a thing of the past now. Temperatures in March were still slightly below normal but the first two weeks of April brought us generally warm conditions. In fact, we have averaged about 6 degrees above normal since the first of the month. It appears that more typical April conditions are on the way during the next week. We will see highs well above normal on Friday and Saturday, but cooler air will arrive on Sunday and Monday keeping temperatures slightly below normal. It also appears the chances for rain will stay slim for the next week. Other than an isolated shower Saturday, little or no rain is expected until at least the middle of next week.
