After a cold winter it now appears that April will have temperatures above normal in our area. We have seen below normal temperatures over the past four months. Even March was almost 1 degree below normal. The weather pattern over the first two weeks of April will be influenced by a building ridge of high pressure over the Southeast. The ridge will allow warm air to build across the Carolinas and Virginia during the first two weeks of April. So unless we have a significant cold snap after mid-April, it appears we'll see temperatures average a few degrees above normal this month.
