Eastern North Carolina has been stuck in a cold a wet winter so any day above 60 degrees has felt good recently. We'll see a noticeable cooling for the next few days but good news is on the way for Easter Week, if you like warm weather. The overall weather pattern is changing. For most of the winter our area was under a trough of low pressure, which allowed wetter and colder than normal conditions to engulf most of the Southeast. But now it appears that a major warming trend will develop by the latter part of next week. It just happens to be warming up just in time for Easter Weekend. Of course, we're over a week away but current forecasts suggest temperatures in the 70s to lower 80s next weekend with mostly sunny skies. After a long winter most folks will enjoy the change.
