Clouds Clouds Go Away

Clouds have been abundant across the east as a persistent area of low pressure spins off the mid Atlantic coast. But slow improvement is expected as the week goes on.

Although there has been some peeks of sunshine the past few days..there have been more clouds than sun..with some areas just seeing clouds. A stationary area of low pressure off of the Delmarva peninsula is pumping in colder air and a few showers across the area this evening. Rainfall amounts have been minor with some areas across the northern counties picking up anywhere from a trace to .05". The showers will begin to taper to sprinkles later on, with much of Tuesday rain free. But once again we can't rule out a few sprinkles. It will be quite cold on Tuesday with highs only in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Then low pressure begins to move away...drier air will work into the region...beginning to clear us out and warming us up for the remainder of the week. Readings slowly warm into the 60s to near 70. Overnight lows will be in the 30s and 40s.
