Very cold air has settled into the the eastern United States and will be felt strongly this weekend as gusty winds may send wind chills into the teens and single digits at night. A strong cold front will push across our area early Friday causing some light snow or flurries as the system goes by. Skies will clear and temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 30s on Friday. By Friday night we could see lows approach 20° with breezy conditions. Wind chills could drop to as low as 10° in some locations. Cold and breezy conditions will continue on Saturday although we should see a fair amount of sunshine. The very cold air will last through Sunday before some gradual warming early next week. More seasonable weather is expected through much of next week.
