At this point the National Hurricane Center projected path for Hurricane Ida takes it northward near the Florida panhandle, then curves it to the east as a extra tropical system. The current track takes the low over northern Florida then off the southeast coast by Tuesday. Here's where the confusion comes in. Some of the weather models want to take an area of low pressure just off the Outer Banks by Wednesday. But now a lot of the models are coming into agreement that a low will come up the coast in some fashion and spread rain across the area late Tuesday into Wednesday, and a part of Thursday. Along with a steady rain, there could be some gusty winds as well as low pressure heads our way. Hurricane Ida's exact track is still up in the air, and so is the probability of rain heading into mid week.
