Many locations in eastern Carolina had temperatures near freezing, resulting in scattered frost, and icy windshields.

High pressure directly overhead in eastern Carolina was responsible for the coldest morning of the season so far. Most locations across the east had temperatures near freezing, with slightly warmer temperatures along the beaches. As the airmass moderates tonight with a light southerly wind, the chance of frost is slim, as we'll see low temperatures in the upper 30s and 40s. Here is a list of the low temperatures across the region Saturday morning.

Rocky Mount  28°

Greenville  30°

Washington 30°

Kenansville  30°

Jacksonville  32°

Elizabeth City  33°

New Bern 34°

Manteo 37°

Morehead City 38°

Cape Hatteras 38°
