Low pressure spinning off the coast of North Carolina is responsible for cloudy and chilly conditions. The heavy rain has moved to the northeast, leaving us with areas of drizzle and light rain. The higher amounts of rain were in our northern counties, with .53" in Elizabeth City and 0.51" in Rocky Mount. Other cities saw lesser amounts with .37" in Manteo, and .33" in Edenton. Greenville and New Bern received .25", with Washington receiving .22". Lesser amounts were observed to the south, with .15" in Jacksonville, .07" in Cherry point, and .03' at Morehead City.
