Increasing moisture from the southwest will result in thickening clouds on Monday with showers overspreading the area from southwest to northeast.

Rain will be moving into the east on Columbus Day as an area of low pressure moves our way from the gulf coast. We'll see thickening clouds during the day with increasing rain from the southwest to northeast. The rain could become heavy Monday evening and Monday night. The rain will taper off later Monday night. High temperatures on Monday will range from 66-70 degrees inland, to the low and mid 70s for the coast. As the rain comes in, the temperatures will drop into the afternoon and evening hours. Another round of significant rain could be moving into the area Thursday and Friday.
