Active Weather Week Ahead

We're heading for an active weather week for eastern Carolina with up and down temperatures, and rainy periods.

You'll be able to tell it's October this week with a very active weather pattern in store. An area of low pressure will develop across the southeast, then move up the coast during the day on Tuesday. It could be a nasty day for the region, depending on the track of the system. If the low tracks along the coast it will be a cloudy, rainy, and cool day. If the low tracks a little more off shore, we'll see cloudy skies with a better chance of rain along the coast. High temperatures may only be in the 60s on Tuesday. A warmer day is in store for Wednesday, with a chance of thunderstorms, as a cold front moves through the area. The dry days look like Thursday and Friday, before a front possibly stalls off the coast next weekend. That usually means clouds and showers for us. So get ready for a week with highs in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with lows in the 50s and 60s.
