It has been an unusually cool start to the beginning of July. Temperatures have averaged almost 2 degrees below normal since the start of the month. Several days have included clouds and northeasterly winds, which tend to lower temperatures in our area during the summer months. We should see a nice warm-up over the weekend as highs reach the upper 80s Saturday and 90° on Sunday afternoon. We should see plenty of sunshine as temperatures return to normal. A cold front will approach the area late Sunday and that could trigger a few thunderstorms. Typical July weather will return next week with temperatures staying near 90° for highs with lows in the lower 70s. Enjoy the pleasant weather while it lasts.
