Last Chance Snow For Eastern Carolina?

As we run out of winter days....will this be our last chance for the white stuff.

If you're a snow lover...late Sunday and Monday could be your last chance to enjoy snow this season in eastern Carolina. If you hate snow...you're saying good riddance..bring on spring. Speaking of spring....after this storm system lifts out early week...we'll see a dramatic warm up again by the end of next week. And one has to ponder could we finally be pulling out of winter. Of course.... as is typical March we'll have warm ups...we'll see the temperatures crash again too. But keep in mind Sunday is the first day of March with average highs near 60 degrees....so chances of snow dwindle considerable. But back to this snow chance late Sunday into Monday. The latest models look to quicken the pace of the storm tomorrow....and increase the rain during Sunday...with a change over to sleet then snow. As of Saturday evening...the weather service in Raleigh is thinking snow for them early evening Sunday...then spreading eastward. The million dollar question is does the cold air chase the moisture...or will the snow get enhanced with the colder air. We'll see. Right now looks like up to an inch of snow with two in a few spots north and west of Greenville...and west of highway 17.  The coastal areas shouldn't see too much.

Two things about TV weather reporters I will never understand: 1. Why in the world do they feel compelled to stand out on beaches in the middle of a hurricane [ as if the viewers won't believe a hurricane is real unless the reporters really PROVE it to them ]? Guys, I'm sorry, but doing that is not hard-hitting journalism. It's not "dramatic at-the-scene footage." It really does'nt make you look daring or intrepid. It just makes you look stupid. 2. Why do they all seem to feel obligated to refer to snow [ at least once per broadcast ] as "the white stuff" ? What's wrong with just plain ol' "snow" ?

If you dont like it, move. One day, I wish Greenville or wherever I live at the time, gets over a foot of snow. I hate hot weather but there isn't really anywhere to go that it doesnt get hot, besides Alaska.

I hope the snow sticks around at least until morning. I love waking up to look out the window and see a white blanket of snow. We don't get alot of chances to see snow in North Carolina. Bring on the snow PLEASE!

I am so tired of the cold weather I am ready for mother nature to decide what she wants to do. Please bring on the spring.
