Holiday Travel

Milder weather has returned just in time for Thanksgiving travel.

For the last 10 days cold weather has controlled most of the country east of the Rockies.  The colder air was accompanied by significant snowfall across much of the Great Lakes.  For now the big chill seems to be easing and that should give most areas a pleasant Thanksgiving.  There were no large storm systems as of Wednesday evening allowing travelers nice roadway conditions.  The only two exceptions to the nice weather over the next three days includes sections of the southwestern United States and the Gulf Coast.  Elsewhere, temperatures will remain near normal and there will be little chance of precipitation.  A developing storm system could bring rain to the Southeast by Sunday and further up the coast by Monday and Tuesday.  Enjoy the holidays.
