The votes have been tallied...most residents of East Carolina want a dry...beautiful day for Election Day on Tuesday. But Mother Nature could have different plans.
The latest forecast suggest that skies will begin to cloud up on Monday...and it could rain Tuesday into Wednesday. It won't be the first time it rained on Election Day and it won't be the last.
Although rain is in the forecast for Tuesday...it shouldn't affect your civic right to vote. I suppose it could be worse..with ice and snow or cold and windy conditions.
At this point if it does rain..this time around we'll see milder temperatures with readings in the mid to upper 60's for highs...and overnight lows in the low and mid 50's. The showers should end sometime on Wednesday.
So remember to bring the umbrella out to the polling places on Tuesday.
