Saturday was by far the chilliest day this fall with highs only in the mid-50's. Sunshine will return on Sunday but temperatures will remain below normal. If you're wondering...the average highs are in the lower 70's...with average lows running in the upper 40's.
Next week we'll see temperatures in the 60's and 70's. On average over the next seven days the high temperatures will run just a bit below normal. No 50's like we saw Saturday. For the overnight lows we'll see the chilliest morning being Monday with lows in the upper 30's and lower 40's. In fact some frost is possible west of I-95. The rest of the week will feature lows in the mid 40's to around 50...near average.
October is typically a dry month for eastern Carolina...and it looks like it will hold true to form this week with dry conditions Monday through Friday. Rain chances do increase a bit into next week. We'll see...that's a bit down the road.
