While the official start of summer is still a few weeks away, the weather over the next week to 10 days will certainly feel summer-like.
Wednesday will be the first day of the season when temperatures in most areas away from the water reach 90° or a little higher. After that, the rest of the week into the weekend looks like a scorcher with afternoon highs in the lowers 90s. Thursday could even see some mid 90s in a few spots.
The blast of heat may intensity a bit more by early next week when we could see some record high temperatures.
And oh yea...don't forget the humidity. It will steadily creep up through the week into the weekend.
This added humidity means the nighttime lows will have a hard time dipping below 70°.
Only a few lucky spots will see a cooling shower or thunderstorm over the next few days.
