Find information here, or post questions and comments you may have about severe weather and staying safe.

The National Weather Service has declared this SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK in North Carolina.  Use this week as a time to review the hows and whys of severe weather and how to keep you and your family safe.

We certainly see our share of severe weather each year.  In fact in 2007, NC saw 344 severe thunderstorms produce large hail and/or damaging winds.  There were 11 tornadoes last year.  In all, severe storms and tornadoes produced $11 Million in damages, killed one person, and resulted in 11 injuries.

If you have any questions about severe weather, or stories, or pictures, feel free to leave them here.  Also, if you have any questions or comments on how we cover severe weather here at WITN you can leave those here as well.

Look forward to hearing from you...

See you on TV,

Jamie
