In yesterday's blog I talked about how hard it is to get it to rain when you're in  a drought.  We are once again going to put that theory to the test over the next few days.

On paper the forecast for the next few days looks like a total washout with several inches of rain.  If we were not in a drought we would certainly be forecasting heavy rain with totals of 2 to 4 inches.  However, after watching recent rainfall events totally fall apart we're playing this forecast conservatively with totals of .25" to .50"  with some spots seeing up to 1 inch.  The possibility is there for more rain to fall, but we're not updating our totals until the rain is hitting the area.

In order to hopefully get some beneficial rain in here, I want us to all to try something new.  The RAIN DANCE.  It does not have to be fancy, or choreographed, or done with a partner, or involve complicated moves.  Just dance a bit.  Find your groove thing and shake it a bit.  Do it outside and get the neighbors to join you, or do it alone in your living room.  Get the kids to join in.

And while you're doing your dance this evening, think about rain...and lots of it...

Here - let me get you motivated...

Oh and by the way, I'll be watching tonight to see if you're dancing....

Think Rain and See  you on TV...
