Don't get those sweaters out just yet. Although fall arrives on Wednesday..summer will be hanging tough much of the week to come. The weather pattern points to an extended period of warmth thanks to a large ridge of high pressure that will be situated across the Mid-Atlantic region. The average high this time of year is in the low 80s..but we'll be well above that. With plenty of sunshine our temperatures should top out in the 80s and even some 90s for the week ahead. Unfortunately with the nice weather comes the dry conditions. We don't see much in the way of rain the next several days so you want to be careful with open burning as conditions continue to dry out.
