Hurricane Danielle will stir the waters off the North Carolina coast this weekend. Danielle packs 135 mph sustained winds and will cause ocean swells to increase. The storm will stay nearly a 1,000 miles east of our coast but the impact in our coastal waters will be significant. Most important will be the rough surf and dangerous rip currents that will develop. Following Danielle is Tropical Storm Earl that will likely develop into a hurricane late in the weekend or early next week. Earl will continue to cause dangerous rip currents into much of next week even though the storm is expected to stay offshore. Otherwise enjoy the sunny skies and warm temperatures across the entire area this weekend.
