Several witn.com readers have sent us e-mail commenting on today's poll question - "There are plenty of things that go bump in the night to be scared of, but what frightens you most these days?"

Here's a slightly edited version of the e-mail that Thomas sent us.

Several times your poll has had some good choices, but occassionally, I would

like to make a comment because the choice is not exactly what I want. Is

there any way this could be added or would it result in too many problems?

Tonight, my comment would have been :

"None of the above frighten me as much as the person we have as

president".

I just do not think he can protect us from any of the threats we face as a

nation. At the same time I think it is in God's plan because the US will

have to leave Israel to face her enemies alone. And prior to this president,

the US stood with Israel and now I can see signs of us backing away.

That is my opinion, but I would like to see a comment section on the poll or

a link where you could post a comment.

i find thomas is being too polically correct. the liberal democrats and "progressives" are leading this country into a downward spiral. from which there is no return. see noriel reubini and igor panarin. end-time.com will get your attention. the very basic concept of humanity and survival of the race is; the end is near when right is wrong and wrong is right. my world is right or wrong,,left or right,,up or down,,,very little grey area.

I agree there are many times that polls are limited in getting a true feel for what people think and feel. The "what frightens you most poll" is a good example. I know that polls are supposed to be essentially a "snapshot" of what people think but sometimes the choices feel like round pegs in square holes. They don't quite fit. However, maybe if on the more complex issues there could be a link to the story that inspired the poll or a blog where viewers could make their reasoning a bit clearer. I know that it would encourage me to answer more of the polls that have understandably limited choices.
