The new witn.com, from the newsroom's perspective.

The people who work in news, sports and weather at WITN have always had one main mission in serving you on the web.

We want to provide you with as much up-to-date information, interesting content and helpful facts as we can.

That mission hasn't changed. You can count on us to continue to work for you, on the web and on the air.

While the homepage might not have the thumbnails you're familiar with, we are certainly going to to continue to post graphics, mug shots and photos in our stories, along with video.

The new format allows us to bring you even more easily accessible content. But remember, you can also check the news page if you want a look more similar to our previous format.

We hope you'll continue to rely on us. We remain dedicated to serving you, and that will never change.

I have a question. Why has it not been reported about the firing of Hyde County's Ems Emergency Manager and Ems Director? Something funny going on!

Content may be king, because usability sure isnt. When I check back on stories, to read new comments, I searched for the thumbnail. Now it is gone. Its much harder to find the story that I want to go back to, especially if its been pushed down. You guys didnt just drop the ball, you gave it to the other team.

What's wrong with being like WRAL? They have one of the most viewed web sites in the COUNTRY. Have you gone to any of the other major sites?? Less clutter and more information is what they have.
