The winter months have got to be some of the worst for me. Other than skiing, I've never really embraced cold weather and mounds of snow (I'm from Pennsylvania). I've gotta say since I've lived in Eastern Carolina dealing with January and February has been A LOT easier than when I was living in the north. The best part about it here is that #1 the temperatures aren't as crazy low and #2 most of the time the sun is shining....which I LOVE! And the winter here lasts 2 months instead of about 5..seriously this is a fact...all the people who say they'd like to see snow have not experienced grey and black mounds of it piled on the roadways in March and April!
Still though, I can't help but get a little down...thank goodness for football (and my Steelers) right now...but geez after they win the Superbowl -- teehee ;) I'm focusing on when I can get to the beach...preferably the Outer Banks...I love it there.
Does anyone else feel like this and what do you do to get yourself out of the slump so to speak? When it's not bitterly cold, I like taking my dog for walks and runs. As long as I wear a hat I'm normally ok and you know she's wearing fur so she doesn't mind it too much...although I have realized she's making her potty trips a bit quicker!
