I have had a Twitter account for close to a year now. I must admit I love the snippets of news I can get. But some tweets leave me shaking my head.
The growing popularity of Twitter has been quite evident in the social media world. Some believe that is why we saw all of the changes over the past few months with Facebook, in particular the scrolling updates.
I like Twitter because I can subscribe to what I want and get updates from those individuals, organizations, businesses etc.
Most of the sites I'm subscribed to are news sites. I can quickly glance at my twitter account and get headlines of stories from Eastern Carolina, across the state, the country or the world. I love Twitter for that.
What I can do without on Twitter is reading what someone just ate for dinner!! I have to say I don't really care that someone just ate meatloaf, rice and broccoli!!! (Although that sounds pretty tasty right about now) That was an actual Tweet someone posted today.
Now you may ask yourself, "Why are you subscribed to people who post that kind of stuff?" Well, the answer is because they signed up for my updates, so I thought I would do the same. Now I'm kinda stuck.
I guess I can just stop following that person, but what if I miss something good? What if they have pizza!!! It is my favorite food.
If you would like to follow me, and promise not to tweet about what you just ate, you can find me @davejordanwitn.
